Two expansions are in development for Diablo 4

Even though Diablo 4 already offers quite a bit of content, Diablo 4 fans are wondering if the game will continue in the same vein as titles within the franchise offering expansion packs and DLC.

It was announced that the Diablo 4 game contains two (paid) expansions that are currently being worked on by the development team and that it will contain story missions and will be large.

Support for Diablo 4
Diablo 4’s story isn’t finished, at least according to series general manager Rod Ferguson, who confirmed in a tweet last year that the game will see “full story driven expansions” for years to come (story-driven expansions mean that the story is the primary focus of the experience or artwork). This type of story focuses on character development and storytelling in a way that sparks interest and suspense in the audience. This involves building and stringing events and creating emotion for the characters. The goal is to create a fun and epic experience.)

While Parts 1 and 2 each feature one expansion each post-launch, Part 4 will be the most supportive in the series for new content as general manager Rod Fergusson said the live-service format allows the team to expand the game’s story via seasonal content (the service format). Online means providing services and interacting with customers via the web or digital applications. This formula provides convenience and flexibility for customers, and allows companies to interact directly and provide personalized and efficient service).

The game offers a deeper insight into the history of the world of Sanctuary and the stories of this world in which the series takes place.
